In Memory of Jannette Jaco (1940-2018)

Jaco Disaster Relief (host of Disaster Dash 5K) is a nonprofit raising funds for the Jannette Jaco Memorial Endowment. Our goal is to encourage people to get out and be active in their communities to help areas affected by natural disasters such as tornadoes and flooding.
In the first 9 months of 2021 alone, NOAA’s National Weather Service has reported a record-breaking total of 18 disasters that each caused over $1 billion in damages to homes and properties.
Proceeds from this event will help our endowment support non-profit organizations that are first to respond and assistance victims and areas of such disasters.
Jannette Jaco was very active in disaster relief efforts. She worked tirelessly in her home state as well as traveling to New York after Hurricane Sandy, Houston after Hurricane Harvey, Louisiana to assist flood victims, and many other disaster-affected areas. This memorial endowment will continue her efforts to help communities in need when natural disasters strike.
