Disaster Dash completes annual fundraiser for disaster relief

LITTLE ROCK, AR, OCT. 18 2024 – Organizers of the Disaster Dash 5K held their fifth successful annual event in Little Rock on September 21st, 2024. Runners, walkers, and wheelchair participants of all ages gathered at the beautiful Arkansas River Trail at Murray Park to take part in the community event benefitting victims of natural disaster.

Thanks to registrations, sponsorships, and donations, this year’s event raised $4,000 to support volunteer organizations who are first on the scene following natural disasters. Over five years, Disaster Dash events have raised more than $17,000.

Event organizers wish to extend their deepest thanks to the volunteers who generously gave their time & energy to make the event successful, and to the many supporters who contributed through sponsorships, donations, door prize merchandise, race supplies, and much more.

The Disaster Dash is a community event of Jaco Disaster Relief Fundraising, an Arkansas non-profit benefitting the Jannette Wells Jaco Memorial Endowment. Disaster Dash events promote weather safety awareness and raise funds for disaster relief.
